The aim of the changes to the Paser Regency RKPD is to adapt the development of the regional economic framework and funding framework to current conditions; provide a legal basis for changes to targets, program plans and activity ceilings; as well as as a guideline in carrying out the 2021 Regional Apparatus Plan
Paser district's development performance achievements in macro indicators have decreased, such as economic growth has decreased by -2.77%, the poverty rate in 2020 has increased to 9.23% from 8.95% in 2019, the Human Development Index in 2020 has decreased to 72.04%.
The theme of the Paser Regency RKPD in 2021 is "Consolidating Community Welfare through Empowering Sustainable Economic Potential". With development priorities including strengthening the quality of infrastructure to encourage the pace of community economic activity; strengthening community economic development based on local resources and protecting the carrying capacity of the environment; increasing the human development index (HDI) and increasing human resource apparatus.
There are several inputs and suggestions for improvements to the RKPD document from regional officials in East Kalimantan Province and the Planning Division of the East Kalimantan Bappeda.
