East Kalimantan construction labor readiness meeting as a local community in the implementation of IKN development

East Kalimantan, Authority Agency for the Capital City of the Archipelago, Director General of Construction of the Ministry of PUPR, Director General of Bina Bangda Ministry of Home Affairs, Construction Services Center in Region V Banjarmasin, related regional apparatus in the Prov. East Kalimantan and Regency/City, Business Entity Association, Professional Association, and CSOs in the Province of East Kalimantan and Regency/City.

In his remarks and direction representing the Governor of East Kalimantan, Mr. Riza greatly appreciated the socialization of the implementation of the construction workforce training. These efforts are expected to encourage the readiness of the East Kalimantan construction worker as a local community in the implementation of the development of the Capital City of the Archipelago.

"Based on BPS data in 2021, from the total population of East Kalimantan which reached 3.8 million, there were 99,993 people working in the construction workforce sector. Of these, certified totaling 34,257 people and there are still 65,439 people or 64.64% of construction workers who have not been certified. Therefore, the recruitment and certification of construction workforce is important to be encouraged to prepare for calm work that is competent and competitive, "he explained.
