Meeting to discuss land acquisition in the IKN area
Samarinda, (16/03/2023) Head of Infrastructure and Regional Affairs Mrs. Elly Luchiritia Nova, ST, MT attended a meeting to discuss land acquisition in the IKN area at the Provincial Governor's Office. East Kalimantan.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the person responsible/implementing land acquisition in the IKN area, specifically at the Preparation stage.

Explained by Mrs. Nova. The planning stage/process has been carried out by the ATR/BPN ministry, but according to statutory regulations, the preparation process should be carried out by the IKN Authority body and the location determination by the head of the IKN Authority. due to considering the readiness of the IKN Authority body which does not yet have personnel.

The IKN Authority hopes that this process will be carried out/assisted by the Ministry of ATR/BPN, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government as well as a letter of location appointment by the Governor of East Kalimantan.

Ms Nova explained that the Provincial Government & Ministry of ATR/BPN are ready to support & assist with the process/preparation stage. However, a letter is needed from the Head of the IKN Authority Agency to the Governor of East Kalimantan with a copy from the Ministry of Home Affairs regarding a request for assistance/support in the land acquisition preparation process. This letter is also expected to state considerations regarding why the preparation process requires regional support
