Socialization of Improvement of Partnership and CSR Development Guidelines
Bappeda Prov. East Kalimantan in the Economic and Natural Resources Sector attended an online Socialization on Improving Guidelines for Partnership Development and CSR in Social Forestry on October 11 2022.
-
This socialization was organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in order to accelerate the achievement of social forestry targets, taking place in the meeting room of the Grand Senyiur Hotel Balikpapan in person and online via zoom.
-
This socialization is intended to make it easier for parties to understand the roles and support that can be synergized with the activities of social forestry groups.
-
This activity was opened by the Directorate General of Social Forestry and Environmental Partnerships Dra. Jo Kumala Dewi, M.Sc and attended by the relevant East Kalimantan regional government, universities and the business world.
-
Social Forestry is part of the economic equality policy through agrarian reform which is aimed at reducing poverty, unemployment and inequality in the management or use of forest areas by setting a management access target of 12.7 million hectares.
-
CSR in environmental partnerships is one of the potential programs to support the governance of businesses, institutions and areas in social forestry.
-
Mrs Kumala said that social forestry as a national program requires acceleration not only in area targets, but more importantly in the form of contributions to achieving people's welfare while maintaining environmental balance.
-
Ms. Kumala explained that there are four models for implementing CSR, namely with direct company involvement, through foundations or corporate social organizations, partnering with other parties, and joining a consortium.
-
He further explained that CSR program support can be in the form of increasing capacity, supporting infrastructure, supporting access to capital and markets, as well as supporting knowledge management.
-
Achieving social forestry targets requires support from local government, academics, non-governmental organizations, community organizations, the business world, community leaders and the media.
