Success of the 2015 East Kalimantan Simultaneous Regional Election

Balikpapan, Monday. 11/23/2015. Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan has a moral responsibility in making the simultaneous regional elections a success 2015 in conveying correct, objective and impartial information and not taking sides towards any of the regional head candidates for each district/city in East Kalimantan.

This was conveyed by the Governor of East Kalimantan, DR.H. Awang Faroek Ishak in his speech read by the Head of the East Kalimantan Provincial Communication and Information Service, Abdullah Sani, SH., M.Hum and at the same time opened the East Kalimantan Bakohumas Meeting in the Balikpapan Platinum Hotel meeting room, Monday 11/23/2015 attended by all SKPD Public Relations within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Regency/City Public Relations throughout East Kalimantan.

The implementation of Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan in 2015 took the theme "Through Bakohumas to Succeed the Simultaneous Regional Election in East Kalimantan" which began with a report from the implementing committee delivered by the Head of the News Section of the Public Relations Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of East Kalimantan Province and continued with the delivery of a speech by the Governor of East Kalimantan and at the same time opening the 2015 Bakohumas Meeting in East Kalimantan represented by the Head of the Communication and Information Service of East Kalimantan Province.

Continued discussion of the Bakohumas meeting by presenting material by the speakers moderated by the Head of the East Kalimantan Province Regional Secretariat Public Relations Bureau, Drs. H. S. Adiyat. The delivery of the presentation began with the East Kalimantan Regional Police, delivered by the Head of the East Kalimantan Kesbangpol, Fajar with the material "Building the Role of the Community in Maintaining Regional Stability to Make the Simultaneous Regional Elections in East Kalimantan a Success". The second presentation was delivered by the Head of the East Kalimantan Kesbangpol, Deny with the material "The Role of Regional Government in Facilitating Simultaneous Regional Elections in East Kalimantan" and in the third session the presentation was delivered by the East Kalimantan KPU, Taufik with the theme "Preparing for the 2015 Simultaneous Regional Elections.

Results of the 2015 Bakohumas Meeting in East Kalimantan

Based on the presentation delivered by the resource persons, the results of participant discussions and follow-up to Bakohumas meetings throughout East Kalimantan include:
1. Bakohumas has a moral responsibility for the success of the 2015 simultaneous regional elections in East Kalimantan;
2. Submission of information to all public relations within the SKPD of East Kalimantan Province and Regencies/Cities throughout East Kalimantan that is objective and does not favor any of the regional head candidates in East Kalimantan to the public;
3. The Governor of East Kalimantan and the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan hope that community participation will increase in the simultaneous regional elections throughout East Kalimantan;
4. Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan can exchange information between SKPDs in order to make the simultaneous regional elections throughout East Kalimantan a success;
5. Bakohumas programs for 2016 include the implementation of the 2016 East Kalimantan Province Anniversary which will be held on January 9 2016 in Samarinda City;
6. Determining the venue for the 2016 East Kalimantan Bakohumas event through consensus deliberation;
7. Synchronization of Bakohumas programs and activities.
8. Bakohumas was formed on October 23 2014 requiring input from all Bakohumas participants throughout East Kalimantan in order to improve the performance of Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan;
9. The Bakohumas meeting on October 9 2015 resulted in the implementation of the 2015 Bakohumas meeting throughout East Kalimantan;
10. News suggestions from Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan can be sent to humasnews@gmail.com;
11. Build communication between Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan through the WhatsApp community group of the coordinator of the Setwilda Public Relations Bureau for East Kalimantan Province;
12. Building Partnerships between Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan and journalists;
13. Establish a working group to accommodate Bakohumas opinions or suggestions;
14. Work visits are not always outside the region, they can also be within the region in order to promote the region;
15. The duties of Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan can be more clearly implemented in each SKPD Public Relations within the Province of East Kalimantan and Regencies/Cities throughout East Kalimantan;
16. The Bakohumas program is expected to be included in the RPJMD, SKPD Strategic Plan, SKPD Renja;
17. Journalism technical guidance needs to be implemented for Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan;
18. The Setwilda Public Relations Bureau of East Kalimantan Province has formed an Electronic Newspaper with trials in 4 regencies/cities, namely Samarinda City, Balikpapan City, Bontang City and Kutai Kartanegara Regency with trials during the last 3 months of 2015;
19. The development of Public Relations institutions is at the East Kalimantan Province Diskominfo;
20. The East Kalimantan Province Bakohumas should have synergy with the Central Bakohumas;
21. What formula can be won in the annual Bakohumas report competition at the central level needs to be formulated so that the SKPD Public Relations within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and the City Regency Public Relations throughout East Kalimantan can get information from the East Kutai Regency Public Relations who have succeeded in getting awards or 3rd place at the national level;
22. The voices of Bakohumas throughout East Kalimantan can be published in the electronic newspaper formed by the East Kalimantan Province Secretariat Public Relations Bureau;
