Test the gas emissions to dispose of
Samarinda, (06/13/2023). Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the Head of Subdivision of the General Subdivision, Mr. Syarifuddin A. along with the staff participated in the activity of the Vehicle Exhaust Emission Test on 10 East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda Office Vehicles carried out by the East Kalimantan Province Environment Agency (DLH) in the Segiri GOR page, Samarinda.

In the explanation of the organizer of the activity which was attended by representatives of the elements of the regional apparatus related to the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, the Police, and the Development Partner, the Head of the East Kalimantan Province, Mr. Ence Ahmad Rafiddin Rizal said that the vehicle exhaust emission test was to find out 2006 concerning the threshold of motor vehicle exhaust gas.

The vehicle exhaust emission test was carried out on 4-wheeled motor vehicles (four) with a target of 650 (six hundred and fifty) official and private vehicles which are a series of commemoration of the World Environment Day in 2023 every June 5.

In the activity, Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan, Mr. Hadi Mulyadi gave direction as well as opening the implementation of activities.

In his direction in front of all participants present, Mr. Hadi Mulyadi said that in the future it is necessary to make a policy to make the vehicle exhaust emission test into a requirement in the extension of the Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK), which in its application can be started from official vehicles and followed by private vehicles. This is important to be carried out in the framework of implementing PP Number 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management in Article 206 which states that every motorized vehicle operating on the road is required to meet the threshold of motor vehicle exhaust emissions.
