Vehicle Exhaust Gas Emission Test
Samarinda, (13/06/2023). East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda through the Head of General Subdivision, Mr. Syarifuddin A. and his staff actively participated in Vehicle Exhaust Emission Testing activities on 10 East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda Service vehicles carried out by the East Kalimantan Provincial Environmental Service (DLH) at the Segiri GOR Yard, Samarinda.

In the explanation from the organizers of the activity which was attended by representatives of relevant Regional Apparatus elements within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Police and Development Partners, the Head of the East Kalimantan Provincial DLH, Mr. Ence Ahmad Rafiddin Rizal said that the Test activity The purpose of vehicle exhaust emissions is to determine the level of compliance of motor vehicle emissions with the emission quality standards stated in Minister of Environment Regulation Number 5 of 2006 concerning Motor Vehicle Exhaust Gas Thresholds.

The Vehicle Exhaust Emission Test was carried out on 4 (four) wheeled motorized vehicles with a target of 650 (six hundred and fifty) official and private vehicles as part of the commemoration of World Environment Day. -World Year 2023 every June 5.

In this activity, the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan, Mr. Hadi Mulyadi, gave directions and opened the implementation of the activity.

In his instructions to all the participants present, Mr. Hadi Mulyadi said that in the future it is necessary to create a policy to make the Vehicle Exhaust Emission Test a requirement in extending the Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK) , which in practice can start from official vehicles and followed by private vehicles. This is important to implement in the context of implementing PP Number 22 of 2021 concerning the implementation of environmental protection and management in article 206 which states that every motorized vehicle operating on the road is required to meet the threshold for motor vehicle exhaust emissions.
