The East Kalimantan arts and culture festival was attended by the people of East Kalimantan and students in Samarinda City.

Mukmin was elected Governor of East Kalimantan in the 2013-2018 period and promised to increase the provision of scholarships to students by fifty thousand people.

This scholarship will be given to all groups, both to students and students who excel, students and students who are not able to live in various areas such as, urban, rural, coastal, inland and border areas and regardless of ethnicity, religion, skin color or different political views.

Awang Faroek stated that the principle of East Kalimantan development continues to be "Building East Kalimantan for All" which does not discriminate between different religions, ethnicities, skin colors and even political views. East Kalimantan will become more advanced with the participation of all groups, including young people who are highly dedicated to development, and young people who are free from drug use. Voting will be held on September 10 2013 and it is hoped that all East Kalimantan people will exercise their right to vote at each polling place (TPS) in their respective regions.
