Preparations for the 2014 Bappeda Coordination Meeting in East Kalimantan
Sendawar, Kubar, 5/2/14. East Kalimantan Provincial Government through the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda and West Kutai Regency Government through
Bappeda West Kutai Regency from 08.00 WITA to 15.30 WIT carried out final preparations for the Coordination Meeting of Bappeda throughout East Kalimantan at each meeting place that would be used, including the opening of the multi-purpose meeting room, the Aji Tullur Jejangkat Auditorium in the West Kutai Regent's office complex area, as well as final preparations for the meeting room that would be used by working groups based on planning areas, including another, Economic Sector meeting room; meeting room for Human Resources Development, Government and Apparatus meeting room and Regional Infrastructure Development meeting room.
Committee from the Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, coordinated by Plt. Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda and Secretary of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Ir.H. Nazrin, M.Si and Head of Regional Development Assessment and Financing, Bappeda East Kalimantan Province Ir.H. Djoko Susilo Handono and Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda Financing Sub Division, Andi Arifuddin, S.Pi, Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda Program Planning Sub Division, H. Buyung Dodi Gunawan, ST., M.Si; Head of Sub-Sector for Business Development, Tourism and Culture, Economic Sector of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Berlin Silaloho, SE together with West Kutai Regency Government officials coordinated by West Kutai Regency Bappeda with the leadership of the Secretary of West Kutai Regency Bappeda provide input to each other in the successful implementation of the East Kalimantan Bappeda coordination meeting which will be opened by the Governor of East Kalimantan represented by Plt. Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province and also Head of Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, DR.Ir.H. Rusmadi.MS.
Implementation of the Coordination Meeting for Bappeda throughout East Kalimantan in 2014 which discussed the priority programs of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government through the RKPD (Regional Government Work Plan) of East Kalimantan Province in 2015 with the theme "Industrialization of Regional Superior Products and Development of New and Renewable Energy through Strengthening Local Capacity" with the aim of synchronizing the development planning of Regencies/Cities throughout East Kalimantan through the RKPD of Regencies/Cities throughout East Kalimantan. 2015.
Based on the direction of regional policy, the Preliminary Draft RPJMD of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government for 2013-2018 includes:
1. Development of new growth centers and increased accessibility;
2. Development of regional infrastructure to improve the quality and coverage of transportation, telecommunications, energy and water resources infrastructure network services that are integrated and evenly distributed throughout the region;
3. Maintenance and realization of the sustainability of environmental functions;
4. Prevention of the negative impact of human activities on environmental damage;
5. Realization and improvement of integration and linkages between cultivation activities;
6. Controlling the development of cultivation activities so that they do not exceed the carrying capacity and capacity of the environment;
7. National defense and security.
In accordance with the RTRW of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, through the development of regional spatial patterns it is directed at:
1. Development of national activity centers (PKN);
2 National strategic activity center (PKSN), development of regional activity centers (PKW);
3. Development of local activity centers (PKL).
Regional Development Strategy and Policy Direction in the District/City is formulated by taking into account:
1. RTRW Provinsi Kaltim;
2. Main sectors driving growth;
3. The sector absorbs labor and increases added value;
4. Main commodities produced
In accordance with the draft Regional Spatial Plan for East Kalimantan Province 2011-2031, West Kutai Regency is a strategic area of the province. By referring to the 2011-2031 East Kalimantan Province RTRW plan, the development of the West Kutai Regency area is directed to:
1. National Protected Area: Padang Luwai Nature Reserve, Provincial Protected Area: Kersik Luway Nature Reserve;
2. Kawasan Hutan Produksi;
3. Plantation Cultivation Areas;
4. Livestock Cultivation Areas;
5. Mineral and Coal Mining Areas, and Oil and Gas;
6. Tourism Area;
7. Urban Areas;
8. Kawasan Perdesaan.
