Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas "The development of IKN in East Kalimantan will not leave other areas behind"

Deputy for Facilities and Infrastructure of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Ir. Josaphat Rizal Pramana, M.Sc representing the Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas was a speaker at the Musrenbang implementation in the context of preparing the RKPD for East Kalimantan Province for 2023 which was held on April 20 2022 at the Odah Etam Hall.

Starting his presentation, Mr. Rizal said that various matters of concern to the Governor, the Chairman of the DPRD and the East Kalimantan Community in relation to development in East Kalimantan would of course be accommodated by the Central Government.

Then it was also conveyed that the Central Government would make serious efforts so that the relocation of the National Capital (IKN) to East Kalimantan could have a positive impact on the development of all regions in East Kalimantan. This is in line with the hopes of the people of East Kalimantan that balance and equitable development in East Kalimantan can be realized. "The Minister specifically told us, don't let the development of this IKN cause other areas to be left behind, for that we will allocate special allocation funds, one of the priority locations will be around the location of the National Capital," said Mr. Rizal.

Continuing his presentation, Mr. Rizal said that the development of the National Capital in East Kalimantan is one of the important things in supporting national economic transformation efforts and will certainly be a driving force for growth in East Kalimantan.

At the end of his presentation, several descriptions of priority infrastructure projects in East Kalimantan Province in the 2023 RKP were presented, such as providing water storage; provision of raw water; irrigation development and management; flood control and coastal protection; development of land, sea and air transportation and roads; housing stimulant assistance; construction of IPAL; waste management; construction of Rooftop PLTS; and also information and communication technology infrastructure.
