Public Dialogue "Pandora's Box of IKN Movement in East Kalimantan" organized by DPC GMNI Samarinda
The Head of Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, on Saturday, 29/01/2022, had the opportunity to attend a public discussion agenda with the theme "Pandora's Box of IKN Movement in East Kalimantan" organized by the Indonesian National Student Movement (GMNI) Samarinda via zoom meeting (virtual). Present at this event were a number of resource persons and representatives from universities in East Kalimantan.
Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Aswin MM as the resource person at the event conveyed the grand design of the National Capital (IKN) which had been prepared by the Central Government. It was stated that this IKN is an opportunity for East Kalimantan to further improve the quality of East Kalimantan's development. For this reason, it is hoped that East Kalimantan's human resources must prepare themselves better and take advantage of this momentum.
Meanwhile, several other speakers who were also present at this event expressed their views regarding the basic things in developing IKN. The development of IKN must continue to prioritize aspects of environmental sustainability, said Stepi Hakim. There will be equal distribution of national development with the existence of IKN, as stated by Maradu Pandjaitan.
