A rhyme opened Mr. Dr. Teguh Setyabudi M.Pd, Director General of Regional Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs when delivering the direction of the Minister of Home Affairs on the implementation of Musrenbang in the context of preparing the RKPD for East Kalimantan Province at the Odah Etam Hall, 20 April 2022.

"If we look at the macro achievements of East Kalimantan's development, in essence it has been relatively very good," said Pak Teguh. This is illustrated by the achievements of the open unemployment indicators, poverty rate, Gini ratio and HDI which are better than the national average. "For that we appreciate it and let's applaud East Kalimantan," he added.

It was conveyed that the 2023 East Kalimantan Province RKPD Theme "Increasing Productivity to Realize Inclusive and Sustainable Regional Social and Economic Resilience Within the Framework of a Sovereign East Kalimantan" has supported and is in line with the RKP Theme 2023 "Increasing Productivity for Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Transformation".

A number of important references that need to be considered regarding the direction of regional development policy, especially in East Kalimantan, and the Kalimantan region in general, were also presented. Some of these references are How to accelerate regional growth through diversification of economic activities; Strengthening its role as a national energy repository; Maintaining Kalimantan's role as the lungs of the world; Encouraging equitable development, especially in the northern part of Kalimantan.

The Minister of Home Affairs reminded that Regional Governments need to pay special attention to the implementation of mandatory affairs related to basic services through full support for the implementation of minimum service standards (SPM); Apart from that, it is also necessary to pay attention to the problem of stunting, waste management, digital transformation efforts, as well as procurement of goods and services which are directed at the use of domestic products to advance SMEs in the regions.

Based on the results of the 2022 East Kalimantan Province Coordination Meeting, it was stated that there were 20 major project proposals with details of 7 proposals being accommodated, 13 proposals would be discussed further and no proposals were rejected. The 7 proposals that were accommodated included Preservation and Reconstruction of Tenggarong Road (Kukar Regency) - Barong Tongkok - Mentiwan/Sendawar (Kubar Regency); Preservation and Reconstruction of SP 3 Lempake - Sambera - Santan - Bontang Road; Preservation and Reconstruction of Jalan Sangatta - Simpang Perdau; Development of the Cattle Village Corporation in East Kalimantan; Provincial Rank Cultural Heritage Management; Construction of Rooftop PLTS; as well as improving the quality of library operations in accordance with National Library Standards (SNP). "Of the many regions, there are no more than 4 provinces whose proposals were not rejected, East Kalimantan is one of them, we applaud East Kalimantan, and the 13 proposals which will be discussed further can be better prepared," explained Pak Teguh.

At the end of the presentation, he conveyed the direction of the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the preparation of the RKPD for East Kalimantan Province for 2023, including that the East Kalimantan Government outlined development targets and priorities for 2023 in accordance with the 2019-2023 RPJMD. ; The administration of government and regional development needs to continue to pay attention to policies for control, overcoming and economic recovery towards the Covid 19 endemic; and the Government of East Kalimantan will immediately perfect the RKPD Draft based on the minutes of the 2023 RKPD Musrenbang.
