The Governor submitted 9 project proposals to the center
Samarinda, (24/02/2020). The Governor of East Kalimantan Dr. Ir. Isran Noor, M.Si accompanied by Regional Secretary Ir. H. Muhammad Sa'bani, M.Sc and Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Aswin, MM participated in a virtual coordination meeting of Governors in Indonesia in the Heart of Borneo Room of the East Kalimantan Regional Secretariat Office.
On this occasion Isran delivered 9 regional project proposals including land acquisition and construction of the Balang Island Bridge Access Road; Handling floods in three cities (Samarinda, Balikpapan, Bontang); Development of Fly Over Muara Rapak Balikpapan; Dredging the Mahakam river channel; Rebitalization and construction of PLTS in remote areas; Samarinda-Bontang toll road construction; Construction of Ujoh Airport said; Construction of the TPI and PPI Manggar building; and Cow Village Corporate Development Program in East Kalimantan.
and no less important strategic issues that need to be a concern by the central government are the Derawan Islands which until now has not yet entered into a national tourism destination, Derawan Islands status as a national tourism destination is needed as a sector development incentive Environmental -based tourism in the Derawan Islands, especially for infrastructure . In addition, the thing that needs to be a concern is Increasing the National Road Section in East Kalimantan, the length of the national road in East Kalimantan which is in good condition is only 14.68 % or only along 251.16 km from 1,710.9 km. Where we know that the entire road has a vital role in the economic activities of the community in the context of improving the welfare of the people of East Kalimantan in particular and Indonesia in general.
