At the 1st Public Consultation Meeting, it was agreed that WP Theme 3 of South IKN was the development of New, Renewable Energy (EBT) and Defense and Security (Hankam). From the results of focusing on PB issues, re-screening was carried out and the 10 (ten) most Strategic PB issues were produced, namely: Forest ecosystems on lowland sandstone which will be planned for the development of EBT; The Ministry of Environment and Forestry's IFNet 2030 rehabilitation direction so that it can be maintained as a forest area; Being in a status where the water carrying capacity has been exceeded; The geohydrological map shows the dominance of Rare Gaps/Saranges with a low level of continuity (97.6%); No go area with limiting factors in the geomorphological character of Soil and Rock Landslide Slopes, the slope is 25-40% and is on a slope prone to landslides and flash floods; Located in HCV 4.2 which is an Important Area for Preventing Erosion and Sedimentation; Most of the WP has a high potential for landslide danger with an outer area of ​​3,977.35 Ha or 58.95% of the WP area; The karst landscape within WP 3 covers an area of ​​177.83 Ha; Existing conditions are flooded and land uses include oil palm plantations, rubber plantations and mixed plantations owned by the community as well as residential areas that need to be considered for the City Forest Plan and local protection. These issues take into account geospatial information data and actual regional conditions. Strategic issues in WP 3 IKN Selatan will be reconsidered because they are considered not to have a big impact (only localized in certain locations, namely Pamaluan Village in RT. 2 and RT. 5 only).

The preparation of the RDTR for IKN WP 7 Simpang Samboja is based on Presidential Regulation Number 63 of 2022 concerning Details of the Master Plan for the Archipelago Capital and Presidential Regulation Number 64 of 2022 concerning the Spatial Plan for the National Strategic Area of ​​the Archipelago Capital. The aim of structuring WP 7 Simpang Samboja is to realize WP 7 Simpang Samboja as a logistics distribution center that is integrated with regional transportation nodes; which is integrated and sustainable, with each Sub WP theme.

As well as the need to handle critical ex-mining void craters in Muara Jawa.
