Coordination Related to Discussions on Regional Cash Deposits in Commercial Banks
Wednesday, December 22 2021. Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province Prof.Dr.Ir.H. M. Aswin, MM, attended the Regional Cash Savings Discussion Meeting at Commercial Banks with the Regional Secretary and Head of East Kalimantan BPKAD virtually in the HOB room of the East Kalimantan Governor's Office.
The continued low performance of regional spending has caused regional government funds deposited in banks to soar. This was stated by Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani in her presentation, "sub-optimal absorption of regional spending will also have an impact on the high value of regional government savings in banks," she said
Sri Mulyani explained that the highest inequality in expenditure and income realization occurred in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, namely 20.39 percent, the lowest occurred in Southeast Sulawesi with a difference of 0.62 percent.
According to Sri Mulyani, Regional Governments must immediately increase the speed and accuracy in executing regional spending, especially completing administrative reporting.
The government continues to strive to accelerate the distribution of TKDD to help deal with the pandemic and regional economic recovery, however, regions need to also support it by accelerating the execution of regional spending.
