Working Visit of the Governor of East Kalimantan - Reviewing the Rehabilitation of the Baitul Hikmah Grand Mosque and Friendly Friendship with Residents at the Berau Regency Consensus Hall

Closing the agenda for the working visit to the northern region in 2021, the Governor and Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan and their entourage (including the secretary and division of the Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province) and accompanied by the Regent of Berau and his staff took the time to visit the Baitul Hikmah great mosque which this year was carried out by rehabilitation work by the PUPR Service of East Kalimantan Province with funds amounting to approximately 4.5 billion.

Next, the Governor and his entourage continued activities in the form of a friendly gathering at the Berau Regency Consensus Hall. During this friendly activity, a number of accompanying events were held in the form of commemoration of Disability Day; Presentation of Berau hospital development plans; Delivery of Covid compensation; Delivery of assistance to people with disabilities; Delivery of Productive Assistance for Micro Enterprises (BPUM); and the signing of the Berau Declaration towards Inclusion.

The Secretary of Bappeda, who represents the Head of Bappeda, East Kalimantan Province, considers this visit to be important and must be carried out regularly so that the government can be more aware of the development conditions and development problems that exist in the region and can immediately take effective and efficient steps in handling them.

The activity ended and the Governor of East Kalimantan and his entourage continued their journey to Maratua Island to inspect tourist sites in the area and meet with residents there, then the group returned to Samarinda.
