This event was held in order to collect data, information and views to produce the formulation of an integrated coastal area management concept that supports environmental and resource governance in the coastal areas of the Indonesian capital. This is because efforts to develop IKN in land areas will have an impact on coastal areas, seas and river waters. The important points conveyed by the Secretary of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province in this event include that in managing coastal areas in IKN it is necessary to pay attention to the spatial planning of East Kalimantan so that it is in harmony; paying attention to aspects of preserving the habitat of protected animals in the Balikpapan Bay area such as orangutans, sun bears, proboscis monkeys and porpoises; The condition of mangrove damage that occurs is caused by ponds and social problems and is a source block for oil and gas. Apart from that, attention needs to be paid to controlling sedimentation in coastal areas in the future, especially during the construction of IKN. Management of coastal areas in IKN must be implemented in an integrated manner, therefore the East Kalimantan Provincial Government is very open to collaborating with all parties, especially OIKN so that management can be more optimal.
