Peatlands store the same carbon reserves as other forests but their existence is often forgotten. This workshop will also help find economic value in preserving peatlands and biodiversity. There will be future plans in the form of a Peat Land Use Modeling (Remodeling) project in East Kalimantan.

There are several types of models, namely: Mathematical Based Modeling, Agent Based Modeling (number of business actors, local population growth, agricultural commodity prices, etc.) and Problem: few details, large area monitored ; much detail, small area monitored. FCPF-CF uses combined sampling, namely the results of field remote sensing and satellite surveys. Tools used for Intensive Carbon Measuring include Trunk Diameter, Root Ultrasound, Tree Sap Measurement, Meteorological Data, Branch Water Measurement, etc. According to the Research Pyramid, it would be better if more data was obtained and then clarified with knowledge.
