Scientific Oration The Role of Universities in East Kalimantan in Preparing for IKN
Wednesday, 01/19/2022. Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Aswin MM representing the Governor of East Kalimantan attended the Scientific Oration on the Role of Higher Education in East Kalimantan Preparing for IKN at the Kalimantan Universities Consortium (KUC) Working Meeting as a resource person.
Prof. Aswin said that the Government of East Kalimantan is committed to supporting the relocation of the National Capital because it will encourage the implementation of economic transformation which until now still relies on primary products and non-renewable resources, especially oil and gas and coal as well as oil and gas-based processing industries.
The 2019-2023 East Kalimantan RPJMD which has the Vision "Dare for a Sovereign East Kalimantan" has included policies and programs to support this transformation, one of which is Human Resources Development with the main activity being the provision of Scholarships East Kalimantan Complete.
It is hoped that Human Resources and universities in Kalimantan can further improve their quality and play an active role in the development and development of IKN.
