Wednesday, 04/20/2022. The East Kalimantan Provincial Government, through the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda, is carrying out Regional Development Planning Deliberations (MUSRENBANG) in the context of preparing the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for East Kalimantan Province for 2023 which carries the theme "Increasing Productivity to Achieve Inclusive and Sustainable Social and Economic Resilience in Framework for Sovereign East Kalimantan”. The event was held live at the Odah Etam Hall of the East Kalimantan Governor's Office and broadcast virtually via the Zoom platform and YouTube Live Streaming.

Starting the implementation of the Musrenbang this time, the Head of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province, Prof. Dr. Ir. HM. Aswin, MM as Chair of the Implementing Committee submitted his report regarding various basic and important matters relating to the preparation of the RKPD for East Kalimantan Province for 2023.
“In the 2023 RKPD Draft for East Kalimantan Province which is used as material for today's MUSRENBANG, it has been prepared by taking into account strategic issues and identifying development problems and challenges faced, both globally and nationally. , as well as regional issues that need to be completed by East Kalimantan in 2023." Delivered by Prof. Aswin in front of the Governor and all MUSRENBANG participants present.

The MUSRENBANG Forum is an important part in the series of annual development planning document preparation cycles, where the substantive results of the agreement from MUSRENBANG will be accommodated and adjusted into the Final Draft RKPD document for East Kalimantan Province for the year 2023, before it is later determined through a Governor's Regulation.

The MUSRENBANG Forum is a manifestation of a planning process approach that is oriented towards a technocratic, participatory, political process, as well as bottom-up and top-down, with discussion substance to agree and harmonize the formulation of development problems regions, regional development priorities, direction of district/city regional development policies, alignment of programs/activities/sub-activities, and determination of regional development performance indicators and targets.

This MUSRENBANG Forum was preceded by the holding of Pre-MUSRENBANG activities which were held from 11 to 13 April 2022 in Samarinda. Through the Pre-MUSRENBANG Forum, discussion of material substance and technical matters has been carried out more specifically and in depth, in order to realize planning synergy between the provincial government and the district/city government.

It was further stated that the process of preparing the 2023 East Kalimantan Province RKPD is very important considering that 2023 is the last year of the 2019-2023 East Kalimantan RPJMD period under the leadership of Mr. Isran Noor and Hadi Mulyadi as Governor and Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan. The draft RKPD for East Kalimantan Province for 2023 which has been prepared now has also been aligned with the Government Work Plan (RKP) for 2023, both regarding the alignment of development themes and priorities, but also regarding the formulation of indicators and macro development performance targets.

Furthermore, the Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr. Ir. H. Isran Noor, M.Si gave directions and directly opened the MUSRENBANG event which was attended by elements from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Regents/Mayors throughout East Kalimantan, and the Provincial DPRD. East Kalimantan. Other participants who attended the Musrenbang event included elements from the IKN Authority Body, Members of the DPR-RI for the Electoral District of East Kalimantan, Members of the DPD-RI for the Electoral District of East Kalimantan, Forkopimda, Chair and Deputy Chair of the East Kalimantan DPRD Commission, elements of the Regional Government within the Province of East Kalimantan. as well as Regency/City, Vertical Agencies, Academics, Development Partners, and other related stakeholders.

The event continued with a session presenting the main ideas of the East Kalimantan DPRD, presentations from resource persons (Ministry of Home Affairs, Bappenas and Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province), discussions, and signing of minutes as the closing of the Musrenbang series of events RKPD of East Kalimantan Province this time.
