Opening of Workshop Validation of Fresh USAID Environmental Monitoring System Studies in East Kalimantan
Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Prof. Dr. Ir. H M. Aswin, M.M., gave a speech at the "Validation Workshop on Environmental Monitoring System Studies" conducted by the Sustainable Environmental Governance Across Region (USAID-Segar) project in East Kalimantan.
The event which was held online on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 was attended by 30 related stakeholders.
In his remarks, Prof. Aswin conveyed about development problems, especially environmental degradation and social conflict that is happening today, in line with the increasing development activities and demands of the socio -economic life of the community both at the local and national levels.
This problem is aggravated by the recovery of climate change phenomena marked by flooding, drought, air pollution (forest and land fires) and water pollution and other disasters.
