Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province won the Government Agency Performance Accountability Award (SAKIP) from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government submitted at the Odah Etam Pendopo.
Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Aswin, MM received directly from the Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, Ir. Muhammad Sa'bani, M.Sc, for the 2020 performance accountability award with 78.19 or "very good" achievements and became the 2nd best rank of 31 other regional apparatuses in the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.
To note, SAKIP is a performance accountability system for government agencies, where this system is an integration of the planning system, budgeting system and performance reporting system, which is in line with the implementation of the financial accountability system. In this case, every Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) is required to record and report every use of state finances and its compliance with applicable regulations.
Sakip comes from Presidential Instruction No.7 of 1999 concerning Accountability of Government Agencies in which it is stated that every government agency as an element of government administrators to account for the implementation of the main tasks, is deemed necessary to report accountability in the performance of government agencies.
This system can be used as a benchmark to account for the budget that has been used for regional development
