Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province succeeded in winning the Government Agency Performance Accountability System (SAKIP) award from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government which was presented at the Odah Etam Hall.
Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Aswin, MM received directly from the Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, Ir. Muhammad Sa'bani, M.Sc, for the 2020 Performance Accountability award with an achievement of 78.19 or "Very Good" predicate and being ranked 2nd best out of 31 other Regional Apparatuses within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.
For your information, SAKIP is a Government Agency Performance Accountability System, where this system is an integration of the planning system, budgeting system and performance reporting system, which is in line with the implementation of the financial accountability system. In this case, each Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) is required to record and report every use of state finances and their conformity with applicable regulations.
SAKIP originates from Presidential Instruction No. 7 of 1999 concerning Accountability of Government Agencies where it states that it requires every Government Agency as an element of Government administration to be accountable for the implementation of its main tasks, it is deemed necessary to report accountability on the performance of the agency Government.
This system can be used as a benchmark to account for the budget that has been used for regional development
