Moving the National Capital and Opportunities for Potential Investors from the Southeast Asia Region
Because of the planning to move the capital city and the projected development of the Indonesian IKN, countries in the Southeast Asia region are also paying quite intense attention to this development. Therefore, the Indonesian Ambassador Bandar Seri Begawan held the Agenda Forum-11 Brainstorming for Heads of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia for the Southeast Asia region with the theme "Relocating the National Capital and Opportunities for Potential Investors from the Southeast Asia Region" which was held on Friday (27/05/2022) via Zoom Meeting.

The forum was attended by 74 participants, namely the Indonesian Ambassador to the Southeast Asia Region, Plt. Director General of Spatial Planning, Provincial Governor. East Kalimantan, Head of Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan and the Head of Infrastructure and Regional Affairs at the Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan. There were 3 (three) resource persons at the Forum, namely Plt. Director General of Spatial Planning; Governor of East Kalimantan and PT PII (Indonesian Infrastructure Guarantee).

At the forum, several ambassadors explained the interest of potential investors in the IKN area. As explained by Plt. The Director General of Spatial Planning stated that the Indonesian Capital City is an Economic Superhub with 3 Economic Development Strategies for IKN and East Kalimantan, namely: 1. Diversification and New Economic Sectors; 2. Industrial Development Principles: Sustainable, Green and Technologically Advanced; 3. Development of the National Capital as the Prime Mover for Post-COVID-19 Economic Recovery.

Head of Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan emphasized that the IKN Transition Team can coordinate intensively with the East Kalimantan Provincial Government so that the community around IKN can prosper because of the existence of a law that has been established.
