Pre -Coordination Meeting of Poverty Reduction Daera East Kalimantan Province in 2024
Samarinda, (10/12/2024)-In order to accelerate the reduction of extreme poverty in East Kalimantan, Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province held a Pre-Meeting of Poverty Reduction Coordination in 2024 at the Samarinda Horizon Hotel .
attended by around 100 participants consisting of the Poverty Reduction Coordination Team (TKPK) of East Kalimantan Province, Bappeda and Regency/City Social Services in East Kalimantan, as well as poverty experts. This meeting aims to agree on the perception of the period of preparation of Regional Poverty Reduction Plans (RPKD), Annual Action Plan (RAT) between Provinces and Regencies/Cities in East Kalimantan and Determination of Regional Poverty Priorities in the District/City Poverty in the Regional Poverty Investigation Plan (RPKD) Year 2025 - 2029.
Given the importance of accurate and targeted data, the implementation of poverty alleviation is based on by name by Address (BNBA), which can be used to map poverty programs that are right on target and sustainable.
As information, based on BPS Kaltim data, East Kalimantan Province is in the lowest position with a percentage of 5.78 percent. Percent and poverty rates in East Kalimantan are below the national average recorded at 9.03 percent and the lowest poverty rate is in Bali by 4.00 percent, while the highest is in the mountainous Papua by 32.97 percent. The central government itself is targeting a decrease in extem poverty by zero percent.
With the hope of reducing extreme poverty rates, this meeting is expected to agree on priority in preparing the Regional Poverty Reduction Plan (RPKD) of East Kalimantan Province in 2025-2029 can be achieved effectively. This decision will be the foundation in implementing more effective poverty reduction policies and programs in the future.
With this activity, it is expected that the synergy between stakeholders at the provincial and district/city level is more solid, so that efforts to alleviate extreme poverty in East Kalimantan can run more directed and achieve the planned targets .
