The Mahakam Cascade Lake consists of Lake Jempang, Lake Semayang and Lake Melintang. Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) are asked to commit to being in the midst of the community, both in overseeing development and implementation at the site level and in communication with the community, both in developing regulations and in technical implementation; Integrate programs/activities that support efforts to save national priority lakes in planning and budgeting; Coordination and collaboration of parties in efforts to save the lake; Zoning of lake area use from the national level, to be integrated into regional spatial planning documents and other technical documents for regional lake management; It is necessary to provide alternative livelihoods for the communities around the lake, by increasing community empowerment in the tourism, fisheries, etc. sectors; Improving the quality of waste management around National Priority Lakes, the Regional Government is recommended to implement Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 7 of 2021 concerning Procedures for Preparing Waste Retribution Tariffs and controlling lake fisheries cultivation areas in order to save the Mahakam Cascade Lake.
