Partner Regional Coordination Meeting in the Context of Preparing for the Development of the National Capital (IKN)
Friday, 19 November 2021. The Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda attended virtually the implementation of the "Coordination of Partner Regional Areas in Preparation for the Development of the New Capital City" activity.
In connection with preparations for the implementation of the development of the National Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan Province, the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas of the Republic of Indonesia held a Partner Regional Coordination Meeting in the Context of Preparing for the Development of the National Capital (IKN) in order to realize synergy in development planning with surrounding partner regions.
The development of IKN in East Kalimantan Province is a momentum and opportunity that must be captured and optimized, especially by partner regions, through cooperation and collaboration between the Central and Regional Governments to be able to drive new economic growth centers.
Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Prof. Aswin, said that regarding the readiness of the workforce in East Kalimantan to support IKN, the Provincial Government together with the Regency/City Government have and will continue to make efforts to increase training and certification carried out by BLKI in Regency/City to support the transfer of IKN to East Kalimantan Province.
