2023 INDAGKOP and UKM Coordination Meeting
Balikpapan, (11/05/2023). Head of Economics and Natural Resources, Mr. Wahyu Gatut Purboyo, attended the 2023 INDAKOP and UKM Coordination Meeting as a resource person at the Grand Senyiur Hotel, Balikpapan.

This activity was organized by the Disperindagkop UKM in order to coordinate and synchronize the preparation of programs and activities for 2024 in the Industrial, Trade, Cooperative and SME Sectors throughout East Kalimantan.

It is hoped that the East Kalimantan Province Department of Industry and Trade & UKM's Major Project can be accommodated for the welfare of the people of East Kalimantan, including: Establishment of a Food Station (Distribution Center), Construction of a Joint Production House, Development of an Industrial Area, Modern Cooperatives and Digital MSMEs.

In his presentation Mr. Wahyu conveyed the results of the proposed agreement at the 2024 RKPD Musenbang of East Kalimantan Province in the Industry and Cooperatives and SMEs sector according to the proposed dictionary including training/technical guidance for provincial cooperatives, increasing marketing of superior SME products, developing downstream industry, improving human resources for cooperatives and SMEs, training prospective exporters, and providing machinery and equipment for small and medium industries spread across districts/cities.

Meanwhile, Activity Programs in the Province that need to receive support through sharing targets with City districts in the Industrial sector are the Industrial Area Planning and Development Program, in the trade sector the Export Development Program for development sub-activities export business actors and the Price Stabilization Program for basic necessities and important goods, namely price control and information on stock availability of important basic goods.

The Cooperative and SME sector needs to be supported by the MSME Empowerment Program, namely, Digital MSME Assistance, SMEs with Export Potential, SMEs that receive NIB, SMEs that receive production facilitation, marketing processing, design and technology ; Cooperative Empowerment and Protection Program, namely the Establishment of Modern Cooperatives with 2 (two) targets in each Regency/City by empowering PPKL; Collaboration in the supervision of cooperatives in districts/cities needs to be improved.
