Regional Geospatial Information Network Coordination Meeting (JIGD) for Regencies/Cities throughout East Kalimantan
Tuesday, 16 November 2021. Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province carried out the "Regional Geospatial Information Network Coordination Meeting (JIGD) for Regencies/Cities throughout East Kalimantan" which was held in Balikpapan City. The Head of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province had the opportunity to open the meeting.
This coordination was carried out as an effort to encourage Regency/City Governments, especially JIGD managers, to implement spatial data in development implementation and use Geoportal as data sharing access. As an effort to optimize geospatial data, the Provincial Government has built Provincial and Regency/City Geospatial Information network nodes for the essence of the JIGN One Map policy.
As stated by Mr Aswin (Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province) in his speech, currently there are 5 regions (2 Cities and 3 Regencies) that already have Regional Geospatial networks and applications, namely Balikpapan, Bontang, East Kutai, Kutai Kartanegara, and Berau. "Of the five, only two regions have been integrated, namely Kutai Kartanegara and East Kutai, and the others are still in the integration stage," he explained.
Mrs. Rina Juliaty as Head of the PPEPD Division said that the result of this coordination was an agreement published in the form of minutes signed jointly by the meeting participants.
