TERPERCAYA Coordination Meeting in East Kutai Regency
Bappeda Prov. East Kalimantan, represented by Economic and Natural Resources staff, attended an online coordination meeting for the preparation of TERPERCAYA indicators in East Kutai Regency, Thursday (13/10/2022).

This activity was opened by Assistant II for the Economy and Development of East Kutai, Mr. Zubair, and was attended by the East Kutai Bappeda, East Kutai Plantation Service, East Kutai DLH, and Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan.

coordination is carried out in order to support the implementation of sustainable jurisdiction which is part of the TERPERCAYA sustainable performance indicators in East Kutai Regency.

East Kutai Regency is being prepared as a pilot district for sustainable jurisdiction that will become an ambassador at the Bali Summit 2022 in November. In this event, Bappenas, in collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, will launch TERPERCAYA with the aim of identifying several districts that are committed to developing sustainable plantations in their regions.

For information, TERPERCAYA was built to identify and provide awards in the form of publication space for governments that have paid attention to sustainable aspects in the production of food and agricultural commodities in their regions.

Publication of regional performance based on the TERPERCAYA instrument is expected to contribute to the development of incentive and disincentive mechanisms for Regional Governments in developing sustainable commodity governance in their respective regions, thereby creating an investment climate for the agricultural and plantation industries that is competitive, ethical and environmentally sound.

On this occasion a multi-party declaration of support was also made for the implementation of a sustainable jurisdictional approach, as well as forming a small team that could coordinate everything regarding the implementation of TERPERCAYA.
