Discussion Meeting on Draft Government Regulations concerning "Special Authorities of the IKN Authority" and "Funding and Management of the IKN Budget"
Thursday, 07/04/2022. Secretary of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province, Mrs. Charmarijaty, ST, M.Si representing the Head of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province, virtually attended the invitation to a follow-up meeting to discuss the draft regulations which are a derivative of Law No.3 of 2022 concerning "National Capital". This meeting was held in 2 sessions, the first session focused on discussing the Draft Government Regulation (RPP) concerning "Special Authorities of the Archipelago Capital Authority" and the second session focused on discussing the Draft Government Regulation concerning "Funding and Management of the Archipelago Capital City Budget".

The purpose of this meeting is to obtain input and suggestions in improving the Draft Government Regulation on "Special Authority of the Archipelago Capital Authority" as well as the Draft Government Regulation on "Funding and Management of the Archipelago Capital City Budget" which previously prepared by the Working Group team. This meeting is also a follow-up agenda to the meeting to discuss the Draft Presidential Regulation which was held the previous day.

The discussion was carried out by looking at article by article contained in the Draft Government Regulation concerning "Special Authorities of the Archipelago Capital Authority" and "Funding and Management of the Archipelago Capital Budget". Regarding these two plans, Mrs. Charmarijaty (Mrs. Nona's nickname) noted the importance of first confirming with the Regional Government, as well as Ministries/Institutions regarding the status of handover of assets or land that will become part of the IKN authority area in order to determine special authority as well as funding and budget management. IKN authority can become easier and clearer.
