This project is a five-year long-term project (2021-2026), which this year is in its third year. In this case, USAID SEGAR works to support Indonesia's development goals in balancing biodiversity conservation and sustainable land use with inclusive economic development and livelihoods. The location of USAID SEGAR activities in East Kalimantan Province itself is in Berau Regency, East Kutai and also Mahakam Ulu with potential commodities, namely, palm oil, rubber, wood, cocoa, pulp and paper.

This meeting was held with the aim of discussing the achievements of the USAID SEGAR Project activities in the second year, presenting the draft Annual Workplan (AWP) document for the USAID SEGAR Project in the third year, discussing the technicalities of the USAID project SEGAR in the third year and agree on the USAID SEGAR project activities in the third year.

Meanwhile, the work plan for the 3rd year of USAID SEGAR includes increasing focus on the environment and conservation in provincial and district planning, strengthening important landscapes for biodiversity conservation, strengthening elements -work elements in building sustainable districts, increasing private sector collaboration, and strengthening independent farmers.

The Technical Team Meeting produced the following conclusions:
1. Some proposed activities have not yet appeared in the co-creation process so they are not included in the 3rd year AWP and can be integrated with existing activities in AWP
2. The activity implementation schedule should be adjusted to the activity schedule implemented by the Regional Government, so that USAID SEGAR activities can strengthen the programs/activities implemented by the Regional Government
3. Exit strategy project needs to be prepared for continuity of activities
4. Indicators that have not been achieved need to be measured immediately
5. The 3rd year AWP USAID FRESH AWP can be approved at the Technical Team Meeting

It is hoped that this project can achieve Indonesia's environmentally sustainable development goals in advancing biodiversity conservation, sustainable forest and land management to reduce the threat of greenhouse gas emissions.
