RPJPD Review Balikpapan City 2006-2026
Samarinda, Thursday 20/9/12. The Balikpapan City DPRD Special Committee paid a working visit to the Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province in order to coordinate and consultation on synchronization between the Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD) of Balikpapan City, H. Sonhaji, SH as chairman of Commission I from the faction PKS and Hence Royke.T Commission III from the PDS Fraction and Andi Rosadi, SH from the Secretariat of the Balikpapan City DPRD Council.
The meeting with the Balikpapan City DPRD which mainly discussed the synchronization of the 2006 - 2026 Balikpapan City RPJPD and the 2005-2025 East Kalimantan Province RPJPD was chaired directly by the Secretary of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, Ir.H. Nazrin, M.Si in the meeting room of the Head of East Kalimantan Bappeda, Jl. Kusuma Bangsa Number 2 Samarinda, attended by approximately 15 participants consisting of the Head of Government and Apparatus Division, Siti Sugiyanti, SE., M.Si; Head of Statistics and Data Collection Subdivision, Rina Juliaty, S.Si; Head of Development Control Subdivision, Ir. Akhmad Huzairin; Head of Government Subdivision, Dra. Tri Padianawati, staff for Regional Development Assessment and Financing, staff for Infrastructure and Regional Development, and staff from the East Kalimantan Bappeda Secretariat.
H. Sonhaji, ST Member of the Balikpapan City DPRD Special Committee regarding the Balikpapan City RJPJD delivered a speech and presentation to the participants present about the importance of coordination and consultation to synchronize the Balikpapan City RPJPD and the East Kalimantan Province RPJPD as well as the RPJPN so that program planning is integrated between the Balikpapan City Government, the Provincial Government and Central government. He said.
The Secretary of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, welcomes and really appreciates the working visit of members of the Balikapapan City RPJPD Special Committee from the Balikapapan City DPRD and is willing to follow up at the next meeting if data is still needed from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.
The members of the Balikpapan City DPRD special committee asked for a more detailed explanation regarding the planning of the Priority Development Program in Balikpapan City in accordance with the RPJPD of East Kalimantan Province and explained clearly by the Secretary in accordance with the 2005-2025 East Kalimantan Province RPJPD, namely that the Flagship Development Program for Balikpapan City is the fisheries sector , Tourism and Petroleum Refining.
Specifically, the Balikpapan city tourism sector received a very positive response from participants, including the handling of beach tourism which has become a favorite for visitors outside the region and within the region, especially on big holidays, such as the recent Eid al-Fitr holiday. It is hoped that more attention will be paid to beach management in the city of Balikpapan, said the Head of the Government and Apparatus Division of the East Kalimantan Bappeda.
The Balikpapan City DPRD Special Committee also touched on the Balang Island Bridge Construction program which is a very important development for the residents of Balikpapan City and also touched on the planning for the construction of the Nipah-Nipah Bridge in the North Pejaman Paser - Melawai area in the Balikpapan City area, the proposed bridge This is based on the initiative of the North Penajam Paser Government. The Balikapan City DPRD Special Committee hopes that the East Kalimantan Provincial Government will receive attention other than the construction of the Balang Island bridge.
According to members of the special committee, planning the bridge is very important in improving the economy of Balikpapan City in the future, for the reason that it could be residents from North Penajam Paser, but work in Balikpapan City.
The Secretary of the East Kalimantan Bappeda responded to all proposals from members of the special committee of the Balikpapan City DPRD for the time being and will be coordinated for follow-up in the next planning process, and at around 12.00 WIT the meeting was finished and officially closed by the Secretary.
