Banten Bappeda visits East Kalimantan Bappeda

Samarinda, 11/12/13. East Kalimantan Province Bappeda received a working visit from Banten Province Bappeda which was received directly by Plh. Head Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, at once Head of Statistics and Development Control, Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, Drs.H. Taufik Darmawan along with the sub-division head or staff of the Planning Division of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda in the meeting room of the Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Jl. Kusuma Bangsa No. 2 Samarinda, while the working visiting team from the Banten Province Bappeda consisted of 9 people led by the Head of the Sub-Division of Governance and Development Cooperation, Ir.Tyas Utami, M.Si.

Plh. The Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda began his speech by saying welcome to East Kalimantan and introducing himself and introducing the participants present one by one who welcomed them, including, Head of General Subdivision, Dra. Hj. Yone May, M.Si; Head of Public Welfare Subdivision, Charmarijay, ST; Head of Government Subdivision, Andrie Asdi, SH and staff representing the Economic Sector and Regional Development Infrastructure Sector.

After introducing Drs. H. Taufik Hermawan as Plh. The Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda conveyed information on general regional conditions both geographically, socially, culturally, economically and on the infrastructure conditions of Kalimantan Province from urban, rural, interior and border areas including the North Kalimantan Province.

In more detail, H. Taufik Hermawan provided more detailed information about the cooperation of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government both regionally between provinces on the island of Kalimantan and with other countries, such as cooperation on plans to build a railway in the East Kalimantan Province region with Eriral Arab countries and Russia, as well as economic and socio-cultural cooperation with neighboring countries Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and the Philippines. This was conveyed because in the middle of the speech, the Banten Province Bappeda immediately responded when the Acting Head of Bappeda conveyed cooperation with other parties, both between the Provincial Government and other countries.

At the end of his speech Plh. The Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda gave the Banten Province Bappeda the opportunity to introduce the working visit team to the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda to provide information on the main objectives of the working visit.

In his delivery, the Head of the Sub-Division of Governance and Development Cooperation, Ir. Tyas Utami, M.Si first expressed his gratitude for the reception from the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda to the Banten Province Bappeda working visit team, and further said that the main aim and objective of visiting the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda began with a meeting at the event of the entire Provincial Bappeda Association Indonesia in Balikpapan City from 26 to 28 February 2013 at the Gran Senyiur Hotel, Balikpapan City, Bappeda Banten Province gives appreciation for special economic development planning, especially in KIPI Maloy in East Kutai Regency and cooperation programs between provincial governments throughout Kalimantan, outside the island of Kalimantan as well as cooperation between foreign countries between Russia and the Arab Emirates.

Following up on the results of the meeting, the Banten Province Bappeda visited the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda to find out more about the development planning for the KIPI Maloy special area as well as cooperation between regions or between provinces and with other countries.
