RKPD Performance Evaluation: East Kalimantan Bappeda Efforts to Increase Development Effectiveness

The East Kalimantan Provincial Government has demonstrated its commitment to increasing the effectiveness of regional development. Through the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), the East Kalimantan Provincial Government held a Follow-up Meeting for Evaluation of the Performance Achievements of the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for 2024 Semester II, Tuesday (14/1).


The meeting which lasted for nine working days (13-22 January 2025) in the East Kalimantan Bappeda Repetada Room became important forum to measure the extent of success of development programs and activities in the region.


Focus The main purpose of this evaluation meeting is to discuss the achievements and obstacles faced by each Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government in implementing the 2024 RKPD. A number of OPDs are scheduled to attend the evaluation meeting. On Tuesday (14 January 2025), the OPD attended as scheduled, including the PUPR and PERA Departments, the Transportation Service, the Forestry Service and the Tourism Service who also attended this meeting. Not only discussing achievements, this evaluation meeting is also a forum for identifying problems and finding solutions together. The presence of a team of evaluators from Mulawarman University further enriched the discussion with professional and objective input.


Through this comprehensive evaluation, it is hoped that strategic recommendations will be formed which will become a reference in preparing more effective and efficient regional development plans in the future. Efforts to improve and refine planning are expected to encourage accelerated development and increase the welfare of the people in East Kalimantan.
