Working Visit of the MPR RI, Bappenas, and Ministry of PUPR to the IKN Location
Thursday, 01/27/2022. Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, represented by the Head and Secretary accompanying the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan, received a working visit from the Chairman and Leaders of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) together with the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (Dr. Ir. M. Basuki Hadimuljono, M.Sc) as well as the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas RI (Dr. (H.C) Ir. H. Suharso Monoarfa) to inspect the location of the zero point of the National Capital (IKN) "Archipelago". Previously, a meeting was held with all the teams that will be involved in preparing for the working visit of the MPR RI, Bappenas and the Ministry of Public Works and Public Relations on Tuesday, January 25 2022.
The Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan (Mr. Hadi Mulyadi) conveyed to the media crew that this working visit is expected to further accelerate the progress of the development of the National Capital of the Archipelago. He also advised all the people of East Kalimantan to maintain security and peace in welcoming IKN by prioritizing an attitude of maintaining solidarity and harmony between fellow religious communities.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the MPR RI (Mr. Bambang Soesatyo) said that this visit was carried out to further ensure that the IKN development plan could be realized quickly. It was also conveyed that the budget that would be prepared for the development of the "Nusantara" IKN, based on information from the Deputy Minister of Finance, had been prepared. Regarding the move and staying in East Kalimantan, he said that the entire leadership and staff at the MPR RI were very ready to move to the National Capital and live in East Kalimantan.
On this occasion, the Minister of National Development Planning/Bappenas of the Republic of Indonesia (Mr. Suharso Monoarfa) provided information regarding the area of the National Capital City (IKN) "Nusantara" which will be approximately 256 thousand hectares consisting of of 199 thousand hectares for development areas, 56 thousand hectares for the capital area, and 6,700 hectares for the core area. Furthermore, regarding the land acquisition of residents who are included in the IKN location, it will be released in stages.
The Minister of PUPR (Mr. Basuki Hadimuljono) also provided information that in relation to the development of the National Capital City of "Nusantara", the Ministry of PUPR has proposed a budget of approximately 46 trillion which will be used for the construction of the state palace, DPR building, MPR building, regional roads, drinking water, drainage and other basic projects in the IKN core area.
