Provincial Working Meeting of Proud Kencana Program and Socialization of National Action Plan to Accelerate Stunting Reduction in Province. East Kalimantan
The Governance and Human Development Sector of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda attended the Regional Work Meeting (Rakerda) of the Bangga Kencana Program and the Socialization of the National Action Plan for the Acceleration of Stunting Reduction in the East Kalimantan Province which was held at the Mercure Samarinda Hotel, Thursday ( 03/31/2022).
The event was opened by Mr. Ardiansyah from the Provincial Secretariat's Welfare Bureau. East Kalimantan was attended by the Head of BKKBN RI, Forkopimda of East Kalimantan Province, Head of Representative of BKKBN of East Kalimantan Province, TPPS of East Kalimantan Province, Provincial PKK Mobilization Team. East Kalimantan, DKP3A East Kalimantan Province, and other related stakeholders.
He said, based on the results of the 2021 Family Data Collection, the main performance indicators for implementing the Bangga Kencana program in East Kalimantan Province are as follows:
1. The Total Fertility Rate (TFR) or the average number of children born is 2.51, with an ASFR of 15-19 years or the number of women who give birth at the age of 15-19 years is 19.7 per 1000 births.
2. The prevalence rate of modern contraception (MCPR) reached 53.50%, with the participation of long-term contraceptive methods (MKJP) reaching 23.3%
3. 22% of reproductive age couples are not served due to difficult access in remote, underdeveloped and border areas.
4. The number of family planning villages in East Kalimantan Province has been established at 299, with 11 of them having become model family planning villages.
5. The prevalence rate of stunting in 2021 based on SSGI data has reached 22.8%, lower than the national level of 24.4%.
Furthermore, in the context of accelerating the National Action Plan for stunting reduction in East Kalimantan Province, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government has formed a Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS) with Governor's Decree Number 463/K .159/2022 which is commanded directly by the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan by involving all stakeholders who play a role, both through sensitive and specific interventions.
The East Kalimantan Provincial Government really appreciates the Indonesian BKKBN for conducting outreach regarding the national action plan to accelerate stunting reduction (RAN PASTI). In this regard, it is hoped that the Regent/Mayor will immediately form Regency/City TPPS, Subdistrict TPPS, Subdistrict TPPS/Village TPPS so that real action to reduce stunting can be carried out in an integrated manner with maximum results.
