Bappeda Kaltim receives Bappenas working visit and the JICA team in the context of preparing the Tricity Development Master Plan
Samarinda - Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province received a working visit from the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas with the Japan International International Cooperation Cooperation Agency (JICA), Thursday (17/07/2025) Technical Preparation of the Tri-City Development Plan (TCDP) for IKN, Balikpapan, and Samarinda.
This project will last for three years (July 2025 - Juli 2028). This project not only targets infrastructure aspects, but also pays attention to environmental, social, cultural, and gender equality issues. Although the focus is on IKN, Balikpapan, and Samarinda, the surrounding areas such as Penajam Paser Utara and Kutai Kartanegara districts are also considered relevant to collaborate as beneficiaries of this project. Includes:
1. Regional Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Development,
2. Economic development, industry, and investment promotion,
3. Environmental sustainability and climate change,
4. Social, culture, and gender.
The inaugural meeting of the Joint Committee (Joint Coordinating Committee/1st JCC Meeting) is scheduled to take place on July 29, 2025. In the meeting, the implementation schedule, the main theme, the main theme, the legal position of the TCDP (Tri-City Development Plan) project, as well as submitting a outline plan and an initial analysis of regional conditions.
