Discussion on the implementation of labor protection through employment social security in East Kalimantan Prov.
Head of Government and Human Development of East Kalimantan Bappeda, Mispoyo accompanied by a young expert planner, Muhammad Hamsani held a discussion facilitation between the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas and the Provincial Government (6/9).
The discussion was carried out by the Directorate of Population and Social Security of the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas in collaboration with J-Pal Southeast Asia and BPJS Employment in connection with the function of the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas in overseeing the achievement of development targets related to labor protection as mandated in Presidential Regulation No. 18 of 2020 concerning the National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2020-2024.
In addition, the discussion was conducted as a baseline study to identify the implementation of worker protection through social security in the regions, one of which was in East Kalimantan Province as well as an element of stakeholders from Samarinda City and Kutai Kartanegara Regency.
On this occasion, the submission of death compensation was also carried out by 42 million rupiah to the families of BPJS Employment participants who had died symbolically.
