East Kalimantan Governor Coordinating the Samarinda Balikpapan Toll Road
Balikpapan, Monday 7/11/2016. Infrastructure project that directly touches the interests of the people to get 
Samarinda Balikpapan which is targeted to be completed in 2018.
This was revealed by the Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr.H. Awang Faroek Ishak in conducting a series of work visits with the group to Kodam VI Mulawarman in Balikpapan City which was received directly by Kasdam VI Mulawarman, Brigadier General Santos Gunawan Matondang, S.IP., M.M and Mayor of Balikpapan, H. M. Rizal Effendi, SE with officials in the Balikpapan City Government.
East Kalimantan Governor added a message from the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo that infrastructure projects that have a direct impact on the welfare of the people must be taken seriously. Said the Governor of East Kalimantan.
The purpose of the East Kalimantan Governor's Work Visit along with the group to Kodam VI Mulawarman Balikpapan in order to coordinate the Samarinda Balikpapan Toll Road project that passed assets from Kodam VI Mulawarman Balikpapan.
The initiative of the Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr.H. Awang Faroek Ishak in order to accelerate the construction of the toll road received a serious response from Kasdam VI Mulawarman, Brigadier General Santos Gunawan Matondang, S.IP., M.M to support the process of accelerating the construction of the Samarinda -Balikpapan toll road.
In line with the support of Kasdam VI Mulawarman in accelerating the construction of the Samarinda-Balikpapan toll road as well as the support of the Mayor of Balikpapan, H. M. Rizal Effendi, SE that the problem of land acquisition in the Balikpapan City area, especially through the Samarinda Toll Road there are still some land that must be coordinated again to the local community. There are still some of the land that has been released but there are still one of his families or other parties who claim so that it needs further coordination. If the approach is persuasive or the family approach still does not find a way out, we will travel with legal channels. Said the Mayor of Balikpapan which was strengthened by the Assistant of the Government of Balikpapan City and also attended the event was the Assistant for Economy, Development and People's Welfare.
