Public Consultation II Preparation of the East Kalimantan RPJMD Strategic Environmental Study for 2025-2029
The Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the PSDA and PPEPD sectors attended the Public Consultation II on the Preparation of the East Kalimantan RPJMD Strategic Environmental Study for 2025-2029 which was held offline and online by the East Kalimantan Environmental Service (DLH) at the Mercure Samarinda Hotel, Monday (23/9).
The activity, which was opened by the Head of the East Kalimantan DLH Environmental Management Division, M. Chamidin and attended by various elements consisting of Regional Apparatus within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Vertical Agencies, Academics, NGOs, Associations, Experts, and related Development Partners, aims to produce agreement and integration of priority issues into the Program Plan Policy (KRP) in Public Consultation II activities for the preparation of the KLHS RPJMD in the Province East Kalimantan from various stakeholders.
In the response and input session, the East Kalimantan Bappeda through the First Expert Planner, Diaz Rohana Fadhilah, conveyed input and information regarding the progress of implementing planning documents in East Kalimantan Province.
"Currently we (East Kalimantan Province through the East Kalimantan Bappeda) are preparing a Technocratic Draft for the 2025-2029 East Kalimantan RPJMD which has entered the Final Draft stage," said Diaz.
Apart from that, KLHS is also expected to be able to explore strategic issues and policy recommendation directions in the 2025 RPJMN Technocratic Draft, because in this document there are indications of interventions that can enrich the programs in the KLHS document.
For your information, the creation of SEA must be carried out by the Government and Regional Governments to ensure that the principles of sustainable development are integrated in the development of a region and/or policies, plans and/or programs.
Furthermore, the preparation of KLHS must be contained in the Regional Spatial Planning Plan (RTRW), Long Term Development Plan (RPJP), and National, provincial and district/city Medium Term Development Plan (RPJM).
The resource persons who provided the information were elements from the Director General of Prevention of Environmental Impacts, Regional and Sector Policy (PDLKWS), the Directorate General of PKTL of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, and the Director General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as Expert Staff who came from experts and academics.
