DISCUSSION The formulation of the economic framework and regional development targets in the improvement of the RKPD Prov. East Kalimantan 2023

Thursday, 10/02/2022. In order to improve the initial draft RKPD 2023 Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province together with the Central Statistics Agency and Bank Indonesia in East Kalimantan region held a meeting to discuss the economic framework and regional development targets through online.

This activity was opened by the Head of Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Aswin, MM, which in his direction focused on four things, namely the high level of poverty, the high level of unemployment, high rates of inequality in population income, the potential for decreased environmental quality.

According to the implementation of Bank Indonesia Regional Financial Policy, East Kalimantan's economic development continues to grow positively despite slowing down compared to the previous quarter. East Kalimantan's economic growth was driven by performance achievements from almost all sectors that have experienced positive growth.

in the fourth quarter of the East Kalimantan economy still grows positively even though it is lower than the previous quarter. East Kalimantan's economic growth which is still positive is driven by the increase in performance in the processing and trade industry sector in line with the increasing domestic demand. On the other hand, the main sector of East Kalimantan is that mining is slowing along with the weather disturbance in the midst of the weakening of demand from partner countries.
