Consolidation Meeting of the Poverty Alleviation Coordination Team (TKPK), Discussing Poverty Alleviation for the Next Five Years
The East Kalimantan Province Bappeda held a Consolidation Meeting of the Provincial Poverty Reduction Coordination Team (TKPK), Wednesday (3/9/2025) at the Puri Senyiur Hotel Samarinda.
The meeting was chaired by the Head of Government and Human Development (PPM), Mispoyo, and also moderated by Muhammad Hamsani, Team Leader from the PPM Sector.
This meeting discussed the finalization of the Governor's Decree regarding TKPK for East Kalimantan Province, setting targets poverty alleviation in East Kalimantan in 2025–2029, as well as preparing TKPK's work agenda for the next five years.
Based on the urgency for poverty alleviation in East Kalimantan, it is necessary to strengthen the role of TKPK to the level districts/cities.
To support this step, it is necessary to optimize the verification and validation process for population data included in poverty indicators.
Recorded from the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) and P3KE, verification results in May 2025, the number of potential poverty in East Kalimantan reached 761 thousand people, with 55 thousand people in the extreme poverty category. Meanwhile three districts — West Kutai, North Penajam Paser, and Mahakam Ulu — reported no cases of extreme poverty.
In response to this, strategic policy issues were formulated to overcome poverty in East Kalimantan, including strengthening the Mitigation Coordination Team Poverty both at the provincial and city levels, development of regional poverty applications based on data from field verification and validation, internalization of the 2025-2029 East Kalimantan RPJMD into regional poverty reduction plan documents (2025-2029) and also mapping of poverty reduction program interventions for 2026.
In this meeting, various regional officials within the provincial government participated. East Kalimantan includes the Regional Secretariat People's Welfare Bureau, Social Service, Manpower and Transmigration Service, Public Works Spatial Planning Service, Village and Rural Area Development Service, Plantation Service, Livestock Service, Health Service, Social Welfare CSR Forum and other related regional apparatus.
Through this consolidation meeting, the East Kalimantan Bappeda together with the TKPK are trying to accelerate efforts to eradicate poverty in East Kalimantan.
