Follow-up meeting to discuss the proposed RAD PD Gubernatorial Regulation Draft
As a follow-up to the results of the meeting in discussing the draft Governor's Regulation (Pergub) of East Kalimantan regarding the Regional Action Plan for Persons with Disabilities (RAD PD) on 26-27 February 2024, the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda together with elements of the Regional Management Council of the Indonesian Association of Persons with Disabilities (DPD-PPDI) and related Regional Apparatus within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government carried out a follow-up discussion of the Draft East Kalimantan Gubernatorial Regulation on RAD PD in the room. East Kalimantan Bappeda Propeda, Monday (1/4).
Junior Expert Planner for Government and Human Development of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, Mr. Muhammad Hamsani, said that this meeting would focus on discussing the body and substance of the Draft Gubernatorial Regulation.
It was further stated that the Gubernatorial Regulation aims to serve as a basis for realizing the fulfillment, protection and enforcement of the rights of Persons with Disabilities, so that it can support efforts to improve community welfare and the quality of human life.
Apart from that, it is also to realize the implementation of regional government which is able to implement human development, specifically the fulfillment, protection and enforcement of the rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Also present at the discussion were Mrs. Anni Juwairiyah, as Chair of the Regional Management Board of the Indonesian Association of Disabled People (DPD-PPDI) and DR. Haris Retno Susmiyati, SH.M.H, as Team Leader for the Center for Women and Children's Legal Studies (PuSHPA) Faculty of Law, Mulawarman University, Samarinda.
At the next stage, the results of this meeting will be followed by a final discussion with all related parties which will be stated in the minutes of agreement related to the Draft RAD PD Gubernatorial Regulation.
