17th Plenary Meeting of East Kalimantan Province DPRD
Samarinda, 09 June 2021, 10.00 WITA. The Regional People's Representative Council of East Kalimantan Province held its 17th plenary meeting in Building D, 6th floor of the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD on Wednesday, June 9 2021. The plenary meeting was chaired and opened by the Deputy Chair of the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD, M. Samsun, SE, M.Si, attended by the Leaders and Members of the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD, the Governor of East Kalimantan represented by Assistant III for General Administration of the East Kalimantan Provincial Secretariat, Fathul Halim, SE, MM, elements Forkopimda and all Regional Apparatus within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government via video conference (zoom meeting).
This plenary meeting is intended to obtain material for conveying views of the factions in the East Kalimantan Province DPRD regarding the explanatory note that was submitted by the East Kalimantan Provincial Government at the previous plenary meeting on June 8 2021 at the same place regarding changes to the 2019-2023 RPJMD and the financial note on the Raperda on accountability for the implementation of the East Kalimantan Province APBD. 2020.
A total of eight factions in the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD take turns conveying their general views which will then be followed up on the plenary meeting agenda of the Government's response to the general views conveyed by all factions in the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD. The factions that expressed their general views included the Democrat - Nasdem faction, the National Awakening faction, the National Mandate faction, the Gerindra Party faction, the United Development Party faction, the Golongan Karya Party faction, the PDI Perjuangan faction, and the PKS faction.
Regarding the changes to the East Kalimantan Province RPJMD for 2019-2023, all factions in the East Kalimantan Province DPRD agreed to support changes to the targets that had been previously determined in the East Kalimantan Province RPJMD, with the consideration that they are in accordance with article 342 paragraph one letter c and paragraph three of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation Number 86 of 2017 where changes to the RPJMD can be made if fundamental changes occur, namely disaster, economic crisis, or changes in national policy.
Several other things that were noted by the factions which provided a general view include the problem of increasing the performance of regional expenditure and revenue realization; improving the condition of infrastructure and basic services to the community; distribution of scholarships and social assistance; provision of health workers and hospital and health center services; legal aid for people with disabilities; optimizing the role of Perusda and managing regional assets; accelerating the distribution of financial assistance to regions; as well as development innovation efforts amidst the current conditions of the Covid 19 pandemic.
