Strategy, Policy Direction and Recommendations of the East Kalimantan Bappeda in the Public Consultation on the Preparation of the 2022 Samarinda City RKPD Ranwal
SAMARINDA - In the context of preparing the 2022 RKPD for the City of Samarinda, the Samarinda City Government is carrying out a Public Consultation as one of the stages to gather the aspirations or hopes of the community regarding the goals, targets and regional development programs.
Elected Mayor of Samarinda, Dr. H. Andi Harun, opened the event which was held online via the zoom meeting application, Monday, 8/3/2021. At this event, the Deputy Mayor of Samarinda, Dr. H. Rusmadi Wongso, Assistant, Head of Bappeda Samarinda, as well as 135 other participants who attended virtually from elements of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) within Samarinda City, BUMD, Academics, Community Figures, Mass Media, and other related parties. Apart from that, the event also presented 3 speakers, including Prof. Dr. Hj. Eny Rochaida (Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Mulawarman University), Dana Adikusuma A.T., M.SC., IAP. (Indonesian Planning Experts Association), and Head of Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan (Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Aswin, MM).
In his presentation, the Head of the Provincial Bappeda. East Kalimantan, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. M. Aswin, MM, conveyed the strategy and direction of development policy for East Kalimantan Province in Samarinda City.
"There are several strategies in the direction of regional development policy in Samarinda City, including providing access and quality of education, increasing the competitiveness of the younger generation, increasing access and quality of health services, and expanding employment opportunities," said Prof. Aswin explained.
Furthermore, Prof. Aswin conveyed recommendations for the preparation of the 2022 RKPD in regions that are holding simultaneous regional elections in 2020 (one of which is Samarinda), where there is no RPJMD as material for elaborating the 2022 RKPD. Therefore, the preparation of the RKPD can refer to:
1. Policy direction and main targets of the RPJPD, Provincial RPJMD and National Priority Programs in the RKP;
2. Evaluation of the performance achievements of the previous period's RPJMD and previous period's Regional Apparatus Strategic Plan;
3. Evaluation of the performance achievements of the 2020 RKPD and the 2020 Regional Apparatus Work Plan; as well as
4. Vision, Mission and Programs of Elected Regional Heads.
